How would you capture the special nature of the Methow Valley? What is it about the connection of people and nature that makes this community such a unique place to call home?
We invite aspiring filmmakers in our trail community to create a short film that explores the sensations, connections, and feelings that are evoked on the trails, peaks, and rivers of the Methow. We're excited to bring our community together for an evening of entertainment and inspiration this spring. We hope you'll be a part of it!
The 2019 Film Fest was a night to remember. Hundreds of our members packed into the Winthrop Barn (remember crowds?!) to celebrate our community and the advent of winter. While the 2022 Film Fest will surely look different, we have no doubt that the spirit of the Methow Valley will shine through. Please note that the 2022 Methow Trails Film Fest has been postponed to a TBD date in spring of 2022 due to COVID-19. Use that extra time to film, and we'll see you on the trails (and on the big screen).
Films should speak to the special experiences and connections that make up the Methow Valley trails community.
Winners will be selected in a youth and adult category by our esteemed panel of judges and by a live popular vote! Prizes include Annual Passes, goody bags, and more!
Filming should take place in and around the Methow Valley.
Films should be submitted no later than April 1, 2022. The Film Fest will be re-scheduled for a TBD date in spring, 2022.
Films should be no longer than ~6 minutes.
Films should be submitted as a Vimeo (or similar) file to email@example.com. Filmmakers should register by filling out the form below.
Planning on submitting a film to the Film Fest? Please let us know by completing this form.
Film submissions are due by April 12, 2021 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
