3, 180-acre WDFW wildlife area with open-water wetland ringed by riparian woodland below gentle hills. In spring and summer, birdwatching is excellent. Look for Eastern Kingbirds, Tree Swallows, Western Meadowlarks, Western Bluebirds, Bullock's Orioles, House and Winter Wrens, Lazuli Buntings, and Spotted Sandpipers. Spring and fall migrants include Cinnamon Teal, Barrow's Goldeneyes, and Pied-billed Grebes. A 0.5-mile path drops to Riser Lake, which is circled by a deer trail. Morning birding is especially fine.
